Holiday cottages for all seasons
The holiday cottages at Riversdale Farm (not a working farm) are situated in an idyllic location
on the banks of the river Wye. Surrounded by magnificent countryside and home to abundant wildlife, they provide a haven of peace,
yet are within easy reach of the many Peak District attractions.
Whatever your age or interests, whether walking (many walks from the door) fishing, cycling, horse riding, sight seeing or simply enjoying peace and quiet, you will find Riversdale Farm a perfect place to take a break.
Fishermen can obtain day tickets for fly fishing, just a few yards along the road during the season (April-October). Cycle hire and riding stables are located throughout the area |

Riversdale Farm provides the ideal base from which to visit the many varied attractions on offer. These include Buxton, a Spa Town and home of the internationally renowned Opera House and the magnificent stately homes of Chatsworth, Haddon and Hardwick Hall
Families (with children of all ages) can enjoy visits to Castleton and the Blue John Caverns, Matlock Bath with its cable cars and Gullivers Kingdom. Alton Towers and the “American Adventure” are less than one and a half hour’s drive away.
If, at the end of the day, you wish to eat out, there are many good, reasonably priced eating places within easy reach.
Should you wish to self cater, each cottage has a well equipped and functional dining kitchen. For those warm evenings you may like to hire the gas barbecue and eat “al fresco” on the lawn by the river.

These are two semi detached cottages, adjacent to the owners’ cottage which have been sympathetically and tastefully converted from an 18th century barn and furnished to the highest standard. Each cottage sleeps 4/6 people and comprises:
Upstairs: 1 Double bedroom, 1 twin room, each with razor socket and hair dryer. Bathroom/toilet with shower over bath.
Lounge: Good sized lounge with beamed ceilings and some walls in Derbyshire limestone. Homely and comfortable with quality double futon for those extra guests. Colour TV Video and Radio/CD/ Cassette player.
Dining Kitchen: Fully fitted and well equipped with fridge, washer/tumble dryer, electric toaster, microwave oven and electric cooker
Heating: Night storage heating throughout, plus an electric stove in the lounge. Wall heaters in the kitchen and wall heaters and heated towel rails in the bathroom
Included in the price: All heating and lighting. All bed linen (duvets) towels and tea towels. Additional blankets also supplied. Cot (NOT LINEN) and high chair, iron, ironing board, clothes airer, clothes pegs, coat hangers, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, dish cloths, washing up liquid and basic cleaning materials.
Outdoor facilities: Large garden (SAFE FOR CHILDREN) with garden table, chairs and parasol. Barbecue for hire. Off road parking for 2 cars per cottage.

Can be booked on a joint basis for family parties. Nearest shop 1½ mile, pub ½ mile. Daily bus service to Bakewell from the door approximately 2 hourly service from Monsal Head - ½ mile away.
